Webb Sailing - Fall 2011

The Webb Sailing team had an excellent season. Under the leadership of captain Doug Zangre '13, the team proved themselves in the competitive MAISA division of college sailing, racing against many of the top schools in the nation. Highlights of the season included a first place finish at the Penn State Nittany Lion Open and a third place finish at the Coho Memorial Regatta, Webb’s premier fall home event. With a stellar performance at the Cornell Northern Qualifier from Doug Zangre '13, Marc Smith '13, Mike Larose '13, James Codega '14, and Dylan Froriep '15, Webb sailing took the third of the four spots for the Club team championship event. The same team gave a valiant effort at the Club championship event at City Island, NY, however with a day of tough conditions and excellent competition, managed a 13th of 18 teams.
