Webb Institute awards second ABS scholarship for 2012 for studies in naval architecture and marine engineering.

Webb Institute, a four-year college specializing in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, has recognized the second ABS Scholar for 2012.

Joining the Webb Family: A Review of the Mentorship Program

Fall 2012 marked the debut of the freshman mentorship program.  It consisted of select returning students each taking an incoming freshman under wing to ease the newcomer’s transition.  Regarding its success, the verdict is still out, with one exception.

Brooklyn Boatworks

This semester several Webb students have found the time to get off campus and volunteer with Brooklyn Boatworks, a volunteer organization that helps inner city children to develop life skills through the building and use of small wooden boats.  The program was founded in 2005
