Winter Work 2010

Webb Students Working Across the USA and Around the World

The Webb students finished their fall semester and left campus on December 21 for the holidays. It was a short break for them, as on January 4 they all started their winter work jobs where they will spend the months of January and February – the freshman in shipyards, the sophomores aboard ships and the juniors and seniors in design offices. As the marine and all businesses increasingly become more international, twelve students are spending their work periods overseas with jobs in China, the Netherlands and South Africa.

While the students are away, the Webb campus is still full of activity. The administration, faculty and maintenance team are all busy working on plans for the spring semester starting March 1 and improving the campus.
