Simmy Willemann Earns Marine Technology Society Scholarship
Simmy Willemann, vice president of the Student Organization, has earned the $2,500 Charles H. Bussmann Undergraduate Scholarship from the Marine Technology Society (MTS). The scholarship is given to MTS members who are pursuing an advanced degree in a marine area. Willemann is a graduate of Pleasantville High School, Pleasantville, N.Y.
The Marine Technology Society is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit professional society comprising ocean engineers, technologists, policy makers and educators. Incorporated in 1963, its mission includes promoting educational opportunities as well as providing the ocean community with forums for the exchange of information and ideas through its peer-reviewed MTS Journal, conferences, newsletters and Web site (www.mtsociety.org).
