4/15 – Webb vs. York College (W 7-2)

For the second time this season, every player on the Webb Tennis Team came away with a victory on the day!

The long trip to beautiful Jamaica, not the one 18º 15´ north of the Equator, didn’t affect the team as they earned their second W of the season by a score of 7-2 vs. York College.

The most impressive part of the evening, beyond the improved play of the entire team on the courts, was the lineup that was prepared by Sr. Captain Phil Duerr on the night. With 6 singles matches to play and 7 players present, he excluded himself from the singles lineup and went on to cheer and take some great photos of his teammates, showing that there is much more to being a Webbie than acing exams and completing piles of homework. Although that helps!
