KP Dinghy Open

A windy day at Kings Point! Sailors were greeted with south winds at 15-20 knots that slowly built to over 20 by the early afternoon. A-division began the day in FJs and B in 420s, but FJs stayed ashore after lunch and only one fleet remained on the water throughout the day. 8 races were completed per division with 1 protest and 1 breakdown. Sunday: A gorgeous fall day for sailing, with northwest winds slowly going north throughout the day and dying. 8 races were completed per division in conditions ranging from 15 knots to 6 knots. 1 protest was filed resulting in a DSQ from race 16B. Army was a no-show and American (incomplete team) and Rochester (leaving early) also received no-shows.
